We will be exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital, and Pokhara, Nepal’s Lake City before spending 9 days on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. We spend some time first trekking the lowlands of Pokhara as we head out to Ghorepani and Poon Hill before making the ascent to Annapurna Base Camp. This is a great way to acclimatise prior to ascending to higher altitudes and means that this is a very do-able trip for those of us who are inexperienced hikers at altitude.
Additionally, the trek showcases ethnic villages, untouched culture, stunning river valleys, powerful rushing rivers, enchanting flora and fauna, breathtaking landscapes, and natural hot springs...what more could you want?
