Description
Auckland has so many awesome cycle trails – come exploring this one with us! The route we’ll be cycling has a mixture of everything – city, quiet suburbia, river paths and parkways.
We will meet at the Waterview BMX track at 17 Herdman Street, Waterview at 9.30am. It is very close to the North West Motorway and just off Great North Rd. From here we’ll start cycling out along the cycle path beside the North Western motorway towards the city.
We then get onto the Grafton Gully Cycleway and speed along this into the city waterfront where we’ll stop for lunch. From here we then cycle along the cyclepath out of the city via Hobson Street and onto the bright pink Te Ara I Whiti – The Lightpath.
We follow the cycleway signs onto Dominion Rd and then along the delightfully quiet and pretty streets through Kingsland, Balmoral, Sandringham, Wesley and back to Waterview following the Oakley Creek Pathway.
