Description
The Island Hills Walk, near Hanmer Springs, is like no other in the country as there is such a diverse range of landscapes and vegetation that change continuously throughout your experience.
This is a well marked 30km private tramping trail over a working sheep, cattle and honey farm with it’s own protected conservation reserve. A limit of 10 walkers on the track means you can enjoy the peace and serenity around you. A reasonable fitness level and capability is required.
Accommodation is in shearer’s quarters, an open plan lodge and a modernised pioneer log cabin. Your bags are transported each day and meals are provided.
Your adventures finishes with a night at Hanmer Springs. Price includes transport to and from Christchurch airport, Islands Hills Walk and meals and accommodation in Hanmer Springs.
